Nate Phillips Swoops Into the Top 10
6th June 2009 Llantwit's finest, Nathan Phillips, received an epic 14-page feature in the June issue of Wavelength, dragging him into the MyProSurfer.co.uk top 10 for the first time this year.
The former European Junior runner-up has been out of the water for 3 months after breaking his arm whilst snowboarding on a make-shift jump following a Welsh winter snowfall.
That may explain why he was slumping in 25th position before the Mexico trip with Wavelength photographer, Ben Selway, which gained him this current exposure.
In the photographer's leaderboard, Ben Selway unsuprisingly remains at top spot just ahead of Mickey Smith, who is currently the highest ranked independant photographer in the leaderboard.
Surf photographer and blogger, Roger Sharp, also makes a burst up the leaderboard after his report on the O'neill Cold Water Classic up in Thurso.
We are still awaiting the Jan/Feb issue of Pitpilot to tabulate. If anyone can help us to find the mag please contact us.
