MyProSurfer Nails 10,000 Mark
26th May 2009 Despite only being live for 4 months, MyProSurfer.co.uk has been whipping up a storm in the UK surf community. With the number of unique visitors growing rapidly each month, the site is beginning to take shape.
Website founder, Oli Salisbury, said "we have had a lot of valuable feedback from very influential people and have tried to take on as much advice as possible.
"We have plans to tighten up the scoring system, and to reward those UK surfers who are winning coverage in international magazines as well as our home mags."
During the first half of May, the website successfully trialed adverts for the Bude Surf Classic at Widemouth Bay, and the Saltrock Open at Croyde. During this period it recorded a figure of 5,000 impressions, which projects to over 10,000 ad impressions per month. Considering the rate of growth, this is encouraging for the website, surfers, photographers, magazines and advertisers alike.
MyProSurfer.co.uk is a non-profit website aiming to raise the profile of the UK surf industry. Each month it offers a media impact leaderboard based on the surfer's magazine coverage.
